Vision Therapy

Vision Therapy

Nature has provided us with two pair of eyes which should work in synchronization with each other else it leads to difficulty in vision. But under increased work demand which requires excessive near work, eye muscles which help in synchronizing tend to fatigue and leads to symptoms like eyestrain, intermittent blurring of letters, watering, dryness and headaches which leads to decreased performance at work.

With a drastic change in life style because of smart phones, working for longer hours in front of computer, these symptoms are found in seven out of ten patients and out of which, five need treatment in form of vision therapy.

The treatment involves basically the complete muscle evaluation (orthoptics) and then followed by the eye exercises which train the eyes to work in extreme and changing demands.

Apart from that, Vision therapy is useful in certain form of squints, lazy eyes and therapy for kids with decreased attention span (ADHD) and autism.
