Dr.DilipKumar finished his under-graduation with a gold medal in Ophthalmology and was awarded the best outgoing student of the batch. He pursued his post-graduation with a gold medal followed by a RGUHS recognized fellowship of Vitreoretinal services and Ocular Oncology He got the best paper award in surgical retina session and Dr Basheer Mekhri award at KOSCON- 2017. His areas of interest include management of retinal vascular diseases such as Diabetic retinopathy and vascular occlusion, Age related macular degeneration, Surgical retina (MIVS) and screening and laser treatment of preterm babies with ROP. He is also a member of Vitreo- retinal society of India (VRSI), All India Ophthalmic society and Karnataka and Bangalore ophthalmic society.
